Jim grew up riding, team roping, starting colts and taking clinics with Tom Dorrance and Ray Hunt. He progressed to reining and cow horse events where he has NRHA earnings over $130,000 and lifetime earnings in excess of $200,000. In Canada, he’s won the Canadian Supreme Reining futurity 3 times. With his background of training in so many different areas of horsemanship, Jim was selected to compete as the Wild Card at the 2014 Road to the Horse colt starting competition. Not only did he compete, he won the entire competition. There’s no doubt Jim has a special connection with young horses.
