Now administration of this highly effective intestinal support formula is easy with the release of Bio-Sponge® Paste in convenient individual dose syringes. Also available in Bio-Sponge® powder.
Recommendation for Use
FOALS
Avoid Intestinal Disturbance in Newborn Foals Less Than 24 Hours Old: Administer 5-15cc Bio-Sponge® Paste no earlier than 12 hours after the foal first nurses. Administer twice daily for 4-5 days or as directed by veterinarian.
Intestinal Disturbance: Administer 30cc Bio-Sponge® Paste 2-3 times daily no earlier than 6 hours after foal first nurses or as directed by veterinarian. Discontinue use 1 day after intestinal disturbance resolves.*
ADULT HORSES (Based on 1,000 lb horse)
Intestinal Disturbance: Administer 120cc Bio-Sponge® Paste twice daily or as directed by veterinarian.*
Bio-Sponge Powder is recommended for use within 36 months and Bio-Sponge Paste is recommended for use within 24 months of manufacture date.
Warnings:
Discontinue if there is no noticeable improvement after 7 days of use.

When to Use Bio-Sponge
Bio-Sponge is supportive for intermittent cases of diarrhea. It is also widely used with new foals to support intestinal health. Many veterinarians rely on Bio-Sponge® to help support both foals and adult horses with occasional intestinal disturbances, as well as post-operative cases in their practice.
Making Bio-Sponge® Paste from Powder
Many horses will consume Bio-Sponge® Powder with their feed or supplements. However, if needed, Bio-Sponge® Paste can easily be made from the powder to aid in ease of administration. This can be especially helpful for foals, picky eaters or horses that are not eating due to illness.
Step 1: Mix recommended dose of powdered supplement with liquid to achieve desired consistency. Water is commonly used.
Step 2: Start with syringe fully plunged, then draw mixture up syringe by pulling plunger out from barrel of syringe.
Step 3: Administer full dose to animal orally.
