Ortho-Chon Plus can be used for joint pain and joint disease. It contains Glucosamine Sulfate 2KCl, MSM, Cetyl-Myristoleate, Boswellia Serrata, Uncaria Tomentosa, Equisetum Arvense, Phellodendron and Turmeric. Turmeric is a free radical scavenger and an inhibitor of 5-lipoxygenase and cyclooxygenase. Phellodendron inhibits expression of the COX-2 gene and works well with other botanical compounds having COX-2 inhibitory properties. This formula may also be used post operatively for pain control and to promote joint healing.
